Reference Letter for John Smith
I have been asked to write this letter of reference for John Smith, a young man with whom I have had an association for over three years in my role as Senior School Teacher, Student Advisor, and Senior Boy's Soccer Coach at ABC High School. It is my pleasure to grant Mr. Smith's request for this letter.
My experience with John has been more than positive. He has demonstrated a unique ability to transcend what is merely required of him in order to make himself and those around him exceed expectations. He not only rises to the challenges confronting him but he does so with enthusiasm, a sense of duty, and an unwillingness to be satisfied with anything less than the best from himself. He has fun doing it too.
Brad has certainly achieved both academic and extracurricular success. His current grade in my Grade 12 Law class is 90%. He also captained my senior boys soccer team to a league championship. Yet what sets John apart is his desire to be more than a mere participant. He doesn't just get the grades and win the games. He leads and motivates others while doing it with a smile and a telling of a joke or two. It is this combination of balance and boundless effort that makes it easy for me to see nothing but a bright and successful future for this impressive student, athlete, and young man.
Sincerely,
Mr. Joe Teacher
